"We are creating an annual Marathon Road Race in Washington, DC and Addis Ababa, dedicated to increasing awareness of the HIV/AIDS and poverty-stricken orphan crisis, and to provide support for Ethiopian charitable organizations that are working directly with these children.This will not be possible without a financial support from communities, institutions as well as private citizens."​
