                                                                                              COURSE DESCRIPTION

The 3rd Annual Race4Ever DC 5K will be held on TBD on the grounds of Anacostia Park in Washington D.C. The United States National Park Service operates Anacostia Park and is one of Washington, D.C.’s largest and most important recreation areas.

This IS the Race for YOU! The Race4Ever 5K is a family-friendly charity event for everyone. Whether you're a competitive athlete looking for a fast finishing time to vie for the win, or a recreational runner or walker who is looking to do something healthy and fun to benefit a great cause! 

Race features include all the amenities that experienced racers have come to expect, and more:

1.5-hour time limit
Chip-timing
Aid Stations (emergency medical care available on the course)
Restrooms on the course
Post-race festival (music, traditional dance and cultural show)
Race T-shirts for all participants
Post-race Awards celebration for all participants and guests with unique medals for the top 10 male and female finishers
Individual race photos available to participants.

LOCATION:
The professionally measured flat loop course is entirely on the park grounds and closed to traffic. The park is located at:
1900 Anacostia Dr. SE
Washington, D.C. 20020

PARKING: 

There will be no parking in Anacostia Park itself. However, there will be ample free parking available at the Anacostia Metro Station parking garage. Once you reach the parking garage, look for the “Anacostia Park” sign posted on the fence running along the parking garage. Enter the park and follow the road past the US Park Police Facility (on your right), heading toward Anacostia Drive. Cross over Anacostia Drive and you will find Race4Ever’s Registration area! We will have Race4Ever Volunteers guiding people from the parking lot to the Race Registration area. 

                                                                                         METRO:
Green Line: Use Anacostia Station. Exit the station by following signs toward the Metro parking lot. Turn right and walk alongside road. Enter park through the fence gate. OR Take the metro to the Anacostia Metro Station. Follow the “Kiss and Ride” signs to reach the Metro exit nearest Anacostia Park. You will exit at the metro-parking garage. Visit WMATA for fares and route details. 

                                                                     FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Weather: The race will be held rain or shine. If the weather forecasts significant inclement weather, please check this page for updates.

Food & Water:Water will be available before and after the race, and at a water station along the race course. Snacks will be provided after the race.

Strollers: Strollers are welcomed. If you have a stroller, for safety reasons, please start in the back, please do not weave through runners, and yield the right of way to other runners.

Restrooms: Portable restrooms will be available at the race.

Medical: Medical aid will be available at the race finish.

Registration Refund & Transfer Policy: Bib refunds and transfers are not available.
